Home Learning Notes are 30 parent notes aligned to the Common Core State Standards. (K-12 Anchor Standards and Standards for Mathematical Practice.) Teachers can attach these to your newsletter or send them home anytime you’d like to give parents ideas for home practice and enrichment. These are meant to provide parents with simple ideas to help them review and reinforce key content through fun literacy and math conversations at home.
And parents, if your child’s teacher hasn’t sent them home, just grab your own set!
Also included:
- Directions for parents about setting up optional home learning folders or binders. (Teachers can hand these out at conferences or curriculum night as you discuss the school/home partnership. Especially handy for parents who are looking for additional homework enrichment ideas.)
- A page for parents to note the skills and concepts they would most like their child to work on. Use them at goal-setting conferences, or send a new goal sheet at the beginning of each grading period.
- Two blank editable templates so teachers can create your own classroom-specific notes. (Microsoft PowerPoint.)
You can find them in my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Click here to purchase!
